Federal AFTR course

It includes 3 hours of general review, 10 hours of federal topics, and a final exam to earn the AFSP (Annual Filing Season Program) certification.
Federal AFSP course
The Annual Filing Season Program (AFSP) is a voluntary IRS program that recognizes tax preparers who complete the AFTR course and the required continuing education hours each year. By participating, the preparer receives an official IRS certificate, is listed in the IRS Public Directory, and gains limited representation rights before the IRS on behalf of their clients.
California CTEC Renewal
The 20-hour California course is an annual renewal training required by the CTEC for registered tax preparers in the state. It includes federal, state, and ethics updates, ensuring that preparers stay current with changes in tax laws and maintain their active registration with the CTEC.
